Immaginate che la vostra auto si sia rotta, diciamo che non va più il freno, beh non un problema da nulla direte voi, beh sì... sempre in questo mondo immaginario voi andate dal vostro meccanico di fiducia (notate l'ossimoro - ma tanto siamo in un mondo immaginario, giusto?) il quale vi dice "è vero quest'auto ha un problema - dobbiamo scegliere cosa fare, le possibilità sono due: 1) ripariamo il freno. Dovrà rinunciare all'auto per un paio di giorni e le costerà un po', ma poi sarà come nuova oppure abbiamo questo nuovissimo trattamento "made in Italy" 2) lei si convinca che il freno è superfluo, che l'hanno messo lì solo per opprimere le ruote. In questo modo risparmierà molti soldi, non avrà più il problema e farà la figura del combattente per la libertà delle ruote". Cosa scegliereste? Io personalmente la 1), ma se credere che democrazia funzioni allora molti di voi hanno risposto 2) e azzardo anche una statistica, su 307 lettori, 245 hanno detto 1), 56 hanno detto 2) e 6 sono finiti sul blog perchè hanno cercato su google "sesso sfrenato gratis protagonista de la marcia dei pinguini nuda e porcacciona". Ho indovinato? e la cosa triste è che quelli che hanno scelto 2) l'hanno fatto per il motivo sbagliato.
Come forse avete capito in realtà sto parlando dell'indulto, non è mia intenzione entrare nella discussione filosofica del "è giusto, è sbagliato, si ma poi escono anche i serial killer e Previti, ma soprattutto Previdi, ma se davvero previde perchè si è fatto beccare? e Desiree? ma Omar dove lo lasciamo? perchè lei si e lui no, e se poi tutti quelli che escono diventano terroristi islamici - se fosse davvero così sarebbe molto ironico, non trovate, una iniziativa voluta dal papa cristiano va a ingrossare le fila degli infedeli". Dicevo, non è questo il punto di vista dal quale voglio affrontare il problema, è troppo complesso e non porta da nessuna parte proprio perchè basato su qualcosa di malposto come l'etica (prima o poi vi spiegherò in dettaglio perchè), voglio affrontare il problema dal punto di vista dell'esempio con il quale ho aperto.
Se si ammette che c'è un problema, e il problema c'è, non è una buona idea affrontarlo facendo finta che non ci sia, o se va bene curando i sintomi, perchè altrimenti fra un paio d'anni siamo da capo. Non è un concetto difficile da comprendere, no? però questo è il modo in cui si risolvono i problemi in Italia. Il mercurio nell'acqua è troppo alto? semplice innalziamo il livello legale di mercurio, l'inquinamento in città raggiunge la soglia di allarme, come sopra, alziamo la soglia di allarme e quando questo non si può più perchè la Comunica Europea non lo permette? semplice inventiamo le domeniche a piedi.
E' inutile fare una campagna demagogica basata sul terrorismo (lega) o sull'ideologia (italia dei valori) per opporsi all'indulto, bisogna sottolineare l'inutilità della soluzione, affrontare il problema razionalmente e logicamente, individuare il problema e lavorare lì - lasciatemi inoltre dire che secondo me il problema non è tanto con i detenuti che sono già stati giudicati, ma con tutta quella gente che da anni aspetta avere un processo e nel frattempo è trattata come se fosse colpevole e l'indulto non riguarda questa gente - ma purtroppo non siamo nel mondo immaginaria di cui sopra.

The ones of you who are following Italian events probably realized that I am writing about the generalized pardon parliament and senate approved this week. This is not the standpoint I want to face the problem from, it is too complex and doesn't lead anywhere, simply because it lies on a ill posed problem: Ethics. I'd like to discuss the problem from the point of view of our example.
If we admit there is a problem, and there is a problem, it is never a good idea to face it pretending it's not there, or, if we are lucky treating the symptoms. In this way in a couple of years we will be in the same situation as before. It isn't that difficult to understand, is it? Nevertheless sometime it seems it is the only way problems are addressed in Italy: Mercury in our drinking water is over the legal limit? I got the solution: raise the limit, pollution in our city is at dangerous levels? Let's redefine what is the dangerous level, what if UE won't allow us? well we can invent "walking Sundays"
It is useless to base one's opposition to the generalized pardon on terrorism (lega) or ideology (italia dei valori), we got to address the problem logically and rationally, identifying the cause of the problem and working there - the real problem is not with those who were already judged gulty, the real problem is with the thousands that are waiting a trial and in the meanwhile are treated as guily, and these people are not affected by the pardon - unfortunately we are in the imaginary world no more.
